Is anyone else interested in talking about the practical applications of blockchain but has no tech background or interest in trading cryptocurrency
I’ve been wondering if there are other “average Joe’s”like me who are interested in having discussions about the potential applications of blockchain, without having to filter through bots/spams telling me to “Buy X Y Z coin!” or “Some dude predicted X coin to reach the moon!”. I feel like currently there’s a big disconnect between three categories of people. The tech-savvy, the crypto traders and the common folk(me). I’m genuinely interested in the ways about which blockchain can make businesses more efficient and how it will ‘change the world’ , but it seems that there’s no place on reddit where I can speak to other people like me without being overwhelmed with tech talk or coin shills. I think that if blockchain is ultimately meant for the regular folks, discussion should be a bit more newb-friendly so that mass adoption can be more realistically be achieved. blockchain is just being spammed with people trying to sell something in a way or another and cryptocurrency is a mix of tech talk and coin shills. I was thinking of a blockchain subreddit consisting of a mix of ELI5, AskReddit and SpeculativeEvolution. If anyone knows about a subreddit that goes along those lines, I’d appreciate if you could post it here. In case it doesn’t exist, I created MassAdoption for the time being and would like to create a community around people who are interested in learning/speculating about field-specific applications of blockchain, without getting too technical or trying to sell something.
